Bride

On this very day, a smile was the furthest thing from our faces. It was a very difficult time since my wonderful father in law, Jimmy was very sick. I spent the day working from home, while cooking soup and tiramisu with my beautiful mother in law, Debbie. Although a sense of sadness was in the air, we were content to be spending Thanksgiving together. James came home from work and tells me in the kitchen "bring your snow pants and boots to my uncle's (Joel) house because it's Bruno's first time in the snow and it is a day that you will remember for the rest of your life". Of course I was completely oblivious to this hint since I have never owned a dog before and I just agreed. After dinner at his uncle's house, I put on my snow gear and we went to the backyard. James had made a fire outside earlier and I was afraid that Bruno would get burned so I was chasing after Bruno while James was trying to propose the entire time. Finally, James grabbed my attention when he said "Raquel" and he then proposed. All the while, everyone was looking out the windows from Joel's house. I said YES! I was so suprised! I was not expecting to be engaged on this day at all. It was the furthest thing on my mind. It was the best day ever and best feeling in the world! I am so grateful to James that he proposed the way he did and when he did because my father in law was there to see it.
